Raul was raised in Pharr, Texas. He graduated from the University of Texas-Pan American with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, TX. While at St. Mary’s, Raul completed three separate clinical programs at the University’s Center for Legal and Social Justice, where he worked as a student-attorney on criminal, family, and consumer law cases.

Once licensed, Raul served as Corporate Counsel for a large Texas corporation with over 1,400 employees, handling employment law matters in both the U.S. and Mexico. Serving as corporate counsel gave Raul great experience working on various contracts, including commercial lease agreements, asset purchase agreements, manufacturing agreements, and even proposals and acquisition contracts with the Department of Defense. Raul also managed a global trademark portfolio throughout his time as Corporate Counsel.
